The names of the characters evoke Arabian Nights imagery in my head. The plot of the anime is, in fact, highly influenced by Arabian Nights. There is so much going on in this series that you can’t help but binge-watch it all at once.
It was a strange ending to the anime. After entering the new world created by Sinbad, the only thing that happens is that Alibaba seeks to reunite with its old pals. Yet, despite the passage of time, no new season has been announced.

Magi Season 3 Release Date

Arabian Nights what comes to mind when I think about the names of the characters. This anime does actually substantially borrow from Arabian Nights for its storyline.
The magic, the adventure, the action, the mystery, everything keeps your eyes wide open and makes you want to binge-watch the series.
