Dancing with The Stars Season 31 Release Date: Everything You Need to Know!

Since the end of the previous season, there have been rumors concerning the cast of Dancing With the Stars 2022, the professional dancers they will be paired with, and the eventual winner of the Mirrorball Trophy.

Based on the British show Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) is a dancing competition seen on American television. Dancing with the Stars is an American television dance competition that has aired on ABC for almost 30 seasons (since 2005).

Weekly, the couples battle for the judges’ and viewers’ votes by performing a set of choreographed dances. Each week, a couple is removed from the competition based on the combined scores they received from the judges and the viewers.

The Mirrorball Trophy and a celebratory trip to Las Vegas are presented to that happy couple. In April 2022, Walt Disney Studios made the surprising announcement that seasons 31 and 32 of Dancing With the Stars would be the first live series to air exclusively on Disney Plus.

According to Disney’s chief of media and entertainment distribution at the time, Kareem Daniel, “Dancing with the Stars” would be the first live series to air exclusively on Disney+. “Dancing with the Stars” has been entertaining viewers for 16 years on ABC.

“Dancing with the Stars” is a fantastic fit for Disney+ because of the network’s wide audience and the show’s massive rating success on Disney-themed competition nights.

Is it likely that season 31 of Dancing with the Stars will see Tyra Banks return to the host chair?

Dancing with The Stars Season 31

Former Dancing with the Stars hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews were let go at the end of season 29. As a result, Tyra Banks became their successor.

Although she has received tremendous backlash from the Dancing with the Stars fan base, Tyra has confirmed her return as the show’s host for season 31 in addition to her executive producing duties.

And she won’t be on her own! Alfonso Ribiero, known for his role on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and as the winner of Dancing With the Stars Season 19, was revealed as a co-host in July.

He remarked, “Dancing with the Stars has been such an essential part of my life for so many years, and I am happy to officially re-join this tight-knit family as co-host.” I’m looking forward to the new season of Disney+ and sharing with everyone my longtime friendship with Tyra.
