“Get Ready to Roar”: Transformers Rise of The Beasts Hits Theaters Soon

Since the first time the heroes and villains of the Transformers franchise showed up on the screen, they have kept fans of all ages interested. And maybe none more so than the robots in Beast Wars: Transformers that look like animals. And now, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will both start over with the Transformers story and pay tribute to the popular animated series.

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is the seventh movie in the Transformers series. It was directed by Steven Caple Jr. and written by Darnell Metayer, Erich Hoeber, Jon Hoeber, and Josh Peters. The story was written by Joby Harold. The new movie is a follow-up to Bumblebee and will introduce several new characters to the series.

Because the Beast Wars characters are so well-known, a lot is riding on this movie. So, we made this guide to everything we know about Transformers: Rise of the Beasts so far, including the release date, the trailer, the cast, the characters, the plot, and more.

Transformers: Rise of The Beasts Release Date

Transformers: Rise of the Beasts release date

After a long delay, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will finally be in theatres on June 9, 2023, this summer. That’s almost a whole year later than when it was supposed to come out, on June 24, 2022. There are already plans for two more parts.

Even though it doesn’t have anywhere near the cultural cachet of Marvel or Star Wars, Paramount has made a lot of money off of the live-action Transformers franchise for more than 15 years. This year, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will be the seventh movie in this series.

What Is the Story of Transformers: Rise of The Beasts?

In the CGI animated TV show Beast Wars, the Beast Transformers were “upgraded” versions of the Autobots and Decepticons who lived hundreds of years after them. In this story, however, all of the different kinds of Transformers are around at the same time. If they keep that origin, it’s likely that time travel will come into play.

Even though the trailer didn’t tell us a lot about the plot, there are a few things we do know. First of all, this is a follow-up to Bumblebee. It takes place in the mid-1990s, which is a long time before the first Michael Bay Transformers movie. In addition to the Maximals, which are the Autobot beasts, we’ll meet two groups of animal Decepticons: the Predacons, which are the normal beast bad guys, and the Terrorcons, which are a group of five especially evil bad guys who can join together to make the huge Abominus.

In the trailer, Optimus Primal warns Prime about a threat that has never been seen before. It could be that Abominus is that threat. But in this movie, Scourge, one of the original Transformers, is in charge of the Terrorcons, so it’s more likely that they’ll have something brand new up their sleeves.

It’s still not clear if the Transformers movies made after Michael Bay will try to line up with (or change) the timeline of the first five movies. But if they do, these Beast Transformers should come from the past, not the future. The Dinobots from Age of Extinction have been around since the time of the real dinosaurs. But I don’t think its story will be very similar to any other movie.

In Transformers: Rise of The Beasts, What Transformers Can We Expect to See?

In Rise of the Beasts, we will, as you might have guessed, meet a lot of different robot people. As we’ve already said, the two Autobot groups are led by Optimus Prime (whose voice is always done by Peter Cullen) and Optimus Primal (Ron Perlman).

Mirage (Pete Davidson), who, based on what we saw in the trailer, seems to be the main “friend of the main human character” Transformer in this movie instead of Bumblebee. Scourge, played by Peter Dinklage, is a new character who is in charge of the Terrorcons in this movie. Airazor is a robot played by Michelle Yeoh that changes into a falcon. And, of course, there’s Bumblebee, who still doesn’t talk even though he did in the last movie. You can also expect Arcee, Wheeljack, Rhinox, Battletrap, and a lot more.
