Bethesda Starfield Release Date

Bethesda Starfield Release Date: Get Ready To Embark on a Galactic Adventure!

Bethesda Game Studios, creators of The Elder Scrolls and Fallout, are hard at work on their next massively multiplayer online role-playing game, Starfield. While we wait for our chance to go through space, here is everything we know about Starfield thus far. Starfield, developed by Bethesda Game Studios, is now in final development.

The widely anticipated space epic will be Microsoft Game Studios’ next single-player, open-galaxy RPG, joining the studio’s fantasy-driven Elder Scrolls and post-apocalyptic Fallout titles. It will also be one of many games coming to Game Pass in 2023 as it is an Xbox Game Studios title.

For now, this is all we know about the game before the Starfield Direct event takes us even further into space. Starfield appears to be a natural progression for the developer, based on our early impressions. Although having some Fallout-like features, Starfield is mostly a space simulator. It’s still an RPG with a focus on solo play, but it adds some multiplayer elements like trade and ship modification.

Bethesda Starfield Release Date

Starfield will be available on PC and Xbox Series X|S on September 6, 2023. Originally scheduled for release on Bethesda Game Studios’ preferred release date of November 11th, 2022, it was pushed back into the first half of 2023 alongside Arkane’s vampire-slaying Shooter Redfall.

Bethesda Starfield Release Date

Bethesda has announced that a Starfield Direct will appear on June 11th, after the Xbox summer showcase, so we should learn more about it then. This will be similar to the Developer Direct stream that provided us release dates for Redfall and Minecraft Legends, but regrettably not for Forza Motorsport.

Bethesda Starfield Gameplay

Starfield’s announcement trailer was originally seen all the way back in 2018, which seems like a lifetime ago now. Starfield has been under wraps since its initial reveal in June 2021, when a brief teaser trailer was released, until June 2022, when a much more extensive gameplay demo was shown.

The game’s dialogue and persuasion systems were demonstrated during Microsoft and Xbox’s gameplay preview, and we also saw some space travel footage with Todd Howard providing commentary.  There’s been talk of a survival mode coming to Starfield, which is exciting and a little bit scary all at the same.

The bug-ridden planet where the player starts the demo is where they will be mining iron from a cave before entering the Kreet Research Lab. In this region, the Crimson Fleet, one of the various groups in Starfield, has set up a treasure-hunting base.

Because to the fact that these pirates are hostile, we are able to witness the usage of some of Starfield’s weapons, such as the Grendel machine gun. Combat appears to be nearly identical to that of Fallout 4, without the VATS feature.

Bethesda Starfield Release Date

As the head of the Starfield Constellation briefs us on an artifact we unearthed, we are introduced to the other leaders of the various factions and learn about what they believe in. A larger number of hostile aliens are shown to us, ranging from dinosaur-like creatures with mandibles to eldritch horrors lurking in the halls of a derelict building.

Bethesda Starfield Story and Setting

Set 300 years in the future, Starfield is an epic interstellar odyssey across the cosmos. Our protagonist is invited to join Constellation, the final group of space explorers after he has shown himself in a series of early missions. We’ll be meeting them in New Atlantis, the capital of the United Colonies, and sending them on a quest to find artifacts across The Settled Systems.

In a June 2022 interview, Todd Howard stated that New Atlantis will be the largest city created by Bethesda to date. “It provides the full range of amenities, including ship repair services, and is not off-limits to any of the factions. Constellation, the group you join, is the final group of space explorers, and its headquarters are there as well.

Think of them as a cross between NASA and Indiana Jones and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.” However, there are other organizations with divergent agendas, such as the Crimson Fleet, with whom we will inevitably come into conflict. Videos released by Bethesda in the past have also established the reality of hostile Spacers, ecliptic mercenaries, and the religious fanatics of House Va’Ruun.

One thousand planets in 100 star systems, including four large cities, are involved. Current knowledge encompasses three of them, including New Atlantis. The second major party inside The Settled Systems is the Freestar Collective, which has been at odds with the United Colonies in the past but is now at peace with them.

Akila City, Freestar’s walled capital, protects the planet from “alien predators that are a hybrid between a wolf and a velociraptor.” Freestar controls three-star systems. Then there is Neon, a Xenofresh Corporation-built paradise city. Tourists go there because it is the birthplace of Aurora, a novel psychoactive medicine.
