New Delhi: Netizens on Twitter have been harsh in their criticism of the Gaana app, one of the most popular in the country. What’s the reason?

The app has been accused of having songs like “Gustakh-e-Nabi ki Ek hi saza, SAR tan se Juda,” which some people believe glorifies beheadings. Some Twitter users were enraged by the grisly murder of the Udaipur tailor and the Amravati killings and took to social media to express their outrage.

Why is there a call for a boycott of the Gaana app?

“Beheading is the only retribution for those who insult Prophet Muhammad,” says the song ‘Gustakh-e-Nabi ki Ek hi saza, SAR tan se Juda.’ According to a netizen who made a comment on the subject, “On major sites like YouTube, Apple Music, Gaana, and Hungama, these songs may be streamed for free.

Non-Muslims are the target of their veiled threats in short films. Bharat’s secular foundation is in danger because of this.” Netizens are requesting the Gaana app designers to investigate this issue with screenshots connected to their complaints on social media.

A boycott of the app was called for, and consumers were urged by the group to remove it from their devices.

Internet users want these songs taken down because they contain messages that glorify beheadings, which they believe would set a dangerous precedent following the beheading in Udaipur of a tailor for sharing a social media post in support of suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma. Sharma is currently on administrative leave.
