Ubah Ali Hassan is a model, businesswoman, and TV star from Somalia who now lives in Canada. She has worked with famous designers like Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Rachel Roy, and Oscar de la Renta. Ubah is the boss of her own hot sauce brand called “Ubah Hot.” You might have seen her on the TV show “The Real Housewives of New York City” on Bravo, where she joined in the 14th season.

In October 2023, Ubah surprised fans of the show “Real Housewives of New York” by introducing her secret boyfriend, Oliver Daschel, to the public.
Ubah and Oliver made their first public appearance as a couple on October 24, 2023. They attended the 2023 American Ballet Theatre Fall Gala at New York City’s Lincoln Center together and took some pictures on the building’s staircase.

Ubah looked stunning in a silver party dress, red lipstick, and red nails as she smiled at Oliver. Oliver is a German investment banker who appeared very taken with Ubah.
During the reunion episode of “Real Housewives of New York” Season 14, Ubah mentioned that she and her boyfriend, often referred to as “Mr. Connecticut,” had been together since they finished filming about a year before the reunion. While she didn’t reveal her boyfriend’s name or job, her co-stars agreed that they were a great match, with one of them saying they balanced each other out.
Ubah Hassan Explained Her Long-Hidden Relationship
During her appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” on October 8, 2023, Hassan gave an explanation for why she concealed her romantic relationship while filming RHONY.
She said: “I think I kept it a secret because I’m so tired of every time I meet someone, I want everyone to see.. and then it doesn’t work and I have to go back and tell people it doesn’t work, And I’m so tired, it’s like ‘Oh it doesn’t work anymore.’”
It was revealed by host Andy Cohen that he had, in fact, met Hassan’s boyfriend—possibly at the RHONY premiere party. When describing Dachsel, the presenter of “Watch What Happens Live” commented, “He is very handsome and strong and, yes, formidable.”

Who is Oliver Dachsel?
Oliver Dachsel is the managing director at Jeffries, a big financial company in New York, as mentioned on his LinkedIn profile. He has 17 years of experience in investment banking and has given advice on deals worth more than $40 billion, involving mergers, acquisitions, and financial transactions.
He got his master’s degree in economics and business administration from a prestigious school in Germany, the Otto Beisheim School of Management, and also completed a program at Columbia Business School in New York.
Apart from his financial career, Dachsel is passionate about philanthropy. Since April 2020, he has been a board member of All Hands and Hearts, an organization that helps communities worldwide recover from disasters by rebuilding schools and homes.
