A prison escapee on the run for more than a month was arrested in Florida. According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Sean Williams, who had been on the run for more than a month after escaping from a prisoner transport van, was arrested in Pinellas County.
Williams is facing child rape, aggravated s*xual battery of a child under the age of 13, and highly aggravated sexual exploitation of minor charges from the state. He is also facing federal charges, such as evading capture. Williams avoided capture on October 18 during a prisoner transit. According to authorities, the cargo van’s camera was smashed, and he left through a broken back window.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation says that on November 21, he was seen near Tampa in Pinellas County. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says the last place they saw him was in Sylva, North Carolina.
David Jolley, a U.S. Marshal, confirmed that he was caught on Tuesday. He said Williams was being held in Kentucky before the most recent escape from the jail van. This was after Williams had already tried to escape twice in Washington County.

They were able to locate Williams in Florida since he had taken a car in Greeneville a few days previously. On Tuesday, a police officer saw the automobile and began pursuing it. Williams, according to Jones, got out of the car, left his belongings behind, and began running across Pinellas County.

A worker at a nearby 7-Eleven noticed Williams buying a hot dog and recognized him on television. When the police and K9 arrived, he was hiding under a tarp after fleeing the establishment. According to the government, Williams will have to go through an extradition process in Florida before being returned to the area.
