Pocket Monsters, the title of which Pokémon Horizons: The Series is called in Japan, is an upcoming Japanese anime TV series that will be the eighth episode of the Pokémon animated series. It will debut on TV Tokyo on April 14, 2023. It is based on the games Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, which were made for the Nintendo Switch.
“Pokémon Horizons: The Series” will focus on two new main characters: Liko, a new trainer from the Paldea region with a mysterious pendant, and Roy, a new trainer from the Kanto region with a mysterious Poké Ball that looks old and whose dream is to battle the “Pokémon of legend.”
Pokemon Horizons is the first anime in the series to take place after the attack on the Hunkas in April 2023. Here’s everything you need to know about when and where to watch the main characters make their first appearance.
Pokemon Horizons’s Release Date
On December 16, 2022, The Pokémon Company announced that a new series of the Pokémon anime would air in Japan in 2023. This would come after the end of a special series that serves as an epilogue to Pokémon Ultimate Journeys and wraps up the story of Ash Ketchum, who has been the main character of the anime series since it began in 1997.
The first trailer came out on March 3, 2023, and said that the show would premiere in Japan on April 14. Pokemon Horizons comes out on April 14 in Japan. The new anime series hasn’t been released in the West yet, but we expect it to come out in the Summer of 2023.

Where to Watch Pokemon Horizons
Right now, it hasn’t been said where fans in the US will be able to watch Pokemon Horizons. But Pokemon Ultimate Journeys is currently available to watch on Netflix. In the US, groups of episodes tend to come out all at once.
In Canada, an English-dubbed episode of Pokemon comes out every week, and the last episode of the original series comes out sometime in May. As a result, we don’t think Netflix or any other site will have the Pokemon Horizons dub before June 2023 at the earliest.

Even though there is no legal way to watch the new series, a number of anime piracy sites will no doubt host the new episode with English subtitles soon after April 14. Most sites that let you watch anime for free are not legal, but for many fans, it will be the only way to see Liko and Roy’s debut before spoilers pop up online.
