The “Boobie Miles” Born on May 1, 1997, NFL running back Miles Adam Sanders now plays for the Philadelphia Eagles. After four years of playing collegiate football for Penn State, he was picked by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. After winning Mr. Football in Pennsylvania and going to the Under Armour All-American Game as a high school senior, Sanders decided to attend Penn State rather than sign with any of the many other schools that had offered him scholarships.

Sanders was a true freshman who saw limited action because he was often benched in favor of Saquon Barkley. Throughout the course of this season, his primary role was on special teams. While returning kicks for Penn State, Sanders set a new single-season school record (33).  Sanders received a nod of recognition as a member of the BTN.com All-Big Ten Freshman Team.

Sanders played in 12 games in 2017, including making his first collegiate start in one of those contests. His debut came against Rutgers on November 11, 2017. Sanders was honored as the 2018 Red Worrell Award recipient. This honor goes to the offensive player who best-exemplified team spirit, dedication, focus, and growth over the whole spring training season.

As the Super Bowl’s first offensive play, Miles Sanders was in charge. Sanders took the handoff from Jalen Hurts and tried to bounce to the outside, but he was smacked hard by the sideline. One yard down, he lost the ball and went out of bounds. While the Eagles did not report any injuries, Sanders did run to the locker room.

Sanders was taken out of the game and replaced by backups Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott for the remainder of the drive. Even though it looked like Gainwell had scored a touchdown to conclude the drive, he was called down just outside the end zone. On the ensuing play, Hurts scored a touchdown on a quarterback sneak. Thank goodness, Sanders was allowed to come back on the Eagles’ following drive.

Sanders emerged from the locker room and regained his helmet after Patrick Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs on a scoring drive of their own. Sanders had his best season ever in 2022 when he recorded career highs in running yards (1,269) and touchdowns (12). He also was named to the Pro Bowl that year. He will be a free agent in March.

Is Eagles RB Miles Sanders Returns to The Game in Super Bow?

Super Bowl 57’s Eagles rushing back Miles Sanders is battling an injury. On their opening drive, the Philadelphia Eagles were able to find the back of the net. On their opening play, Miles Sanders was given the ball and sent on a wing-out run.

He took a big hit and lost possession of the ball, which went out of bounds, and we haven’t heard much from him since.  Sanders went inside the locker room but later made it back to the bench. Sanders-related news has been mysteriously quiet as of late. The blow he took might have either busted something up or loosened it.

Fans in Philadelphia are probably hoping that the players are only taking a restroom break as they head to the locker room. Even so, the Eagles just had their second drive of the game and Sanders wasn’t on the field; this should be closely watched.

Miles Sander’s NFL Career

With the 53rd overall choice in the 2019 NFL Draft, Sanders was taken by the Philadelphia Eagles. Sanders suited up for his first NFL game in Week 1 against the Washington Redskins. In the Eagles’ 32-27 triumph, Sanders carried the ball 11 times for 25 yards. Sanders has 6 rushing yards on 3 runs and 86 receiving yards and a score in Week 6’s game against the Minnesota Vikings.
