Family matters, husband, and offspring
Kaitlin Olson and Rob McElhenney have been considered a Hollywood “power couple” for quite some time. It wasn’t until the second season of “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” that the two actors began dating, and even then they didn’t tell anyone on the set.
Once Kaitlin fell in love with Rob, she knew she was in love with him on a level she’d never experienced with anybody before, as she told Dax Shepard. The pair tied the knot on September 27, 2008, and their relationship has flourished ever since.
Kaitlin and Rob had their first boy on September 1, 2010; she went into labor while they were attending a baseball game featuring the Philadelphia Phillies (Rob is a major fan of the team).
Soon after, she was brought back to their California home, where she gave birth (as planned). It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia’s sixth season featured an episode called “Dee Gives Birth,” which was a touching tribute to the couple and their new son, Axel Lee.
Their second child, Leo Grey, was born on April 5, 2012, exactly two years later. Kaitlin considers her family’s feelings about the job she’s considering before agreeing to take it. They are my number one priority, she said SippyCupMom.
