The Actress, 44, recalled requesting director James Cameron to let the character remain dead “as a martyr” in forthcoming sequels after she died onscreen as Marine pilot Captain Trudy Chacón in 2009’s Avatar. This was revealed in a recent interview with Vanity Fair.

“I guess they don’t know what to do with the lady who doesn’t have a partner.” Rodriguez frequently plays the romantic lead, which leads her to believe that producers are unsure of how to handle her characters. “She isn’t dating anyone,” I said.
