Why Did Jax and Brittany Leave ‘Vanderpump Rules’?
While the show’s primary cast has remained mostly the same from the show’s 2013 premiere, many key players left after the end of season eight. They let Stassi Schroeder Clark, Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Caprioni go because of their insensitivity in the past (Kristen and Stassi reported Faith to the police for a crime she was not involved in, while the latter two stars had posted racist tweets in the past).
It was announced in December 2020 that Brittany Cartwright and Jax will not be returning for the next ninth season of the show, roughly six months after their co-stars were let go. While on Vanderpump Rules, Jax faced “some of the hardest, rewarding, and fulfilling years of my life,” she later said on Instagram.
“Unfortunately, I must let you know that Brittany and I will not be returning for a new season of Vanderpump Rules. We’re happy to take a break from our busy schedules to celebrate our expanding family and tell you about our exciting plans.”
Jax has now clarified that the two voluntarily left the show, dispelling speculation among some viewers that they were dismissed and the statement was released to preserve face. On the Daddy Issues podcast in April 2021, Jax expressed her happiness at having completed the series after all the drama and catfights.
