The Elder Scrolls 6 is one of the most anticipated games of all time since it’s the sequel to Skyrim and the rest of the beloved RPG series. Even though Bethesda announced the game in 2018 with a short teaser trailer, they haven’t said all that much about it so far.
We do know that Bethesda Game Studios is working on The Elder Scrolls 6 and that it will be their next game after Starfield comes out for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The Elder Scrolls 6 was shown off in a strange way during an E3 presentation in 2018. We saw a short clip that gave us a hint about where the game will take place.
Since then, there hasn’t been much news from Bethesda. While we wait for more information about The Elder Scrolls 6, this page will have all the information we have so far. Read on for the latest news and rumors about Starfield’s successor, Bethesda’s next big RPG.
Elder Scrolls 6 Release Date
At the moment, there is no confirmed release date for Elder Scrolls 6. When and how The Elder Scrolls 6 will be released It’s been four years since Bethesda gave a short preview of The Elder Scrolls 6 at E3 2018. But we still don’t know when the game will come out, and recent reports say that it’s still in the early stages of development.
At the moment, the studio’s main focus is on Starfield, and TES6 will come after that. The bad news is that we still don’t know when Starfield will come out. It is known that it will come out in 2023. Most people think it will be ready to play between 2024 and 2026, but another report says that it could take up to six years to finish.
Is The Elder Scrolls 6 an Xbox Exclusive?
Since Microsoft bought Bethesda, fans have been wondering if The Elder Scrolls 6 will come out on PlayStation or if it will only be available on Xbox. We don’t know for sure yet, but Xbox head Phil Spencer hinted in a recent interview that it would only be available on Xbox.
No. And also Elder Scrolls 6 is planned as Xbox exclusive as well. https://t.co/K4VCC5DrXL

This would mean that the game would only be available on Xbox, but PC players would still be able to play it. For now, it doesn’t look like it will be on PlayStation. This might change in the future, but since Starfield is only available on Xbox, it seems likely that Elder Scrolls 6 will also only be available on Xbox.
What Does The Elder Scrolls 6 Gameplay Look Like?
At the time this article was written, there were no gameplay trailers or announcements of new features for The Elder Scrolls VI. But when we talked to Todd Howard, he said, “This is a game we need to make so people can play it for at least a decade.” He went on to say, “When they [the players] finally see the game and what we had in mind, they’ll understand the technology gap and what we were trying to do better.”
At E3, Bethesda showed a short teaser trailer for The Elder Scrolls VI that seemed to hint at the game’s setting. The teaser shows a foggy valley, a crumbling old fort, a city on the water, and a coast, which makes us think that The Elder Scrolls VI could be set in High Rock. Even though this doesn’t seem like much, if you look at all the places in Tamriel, these landmarks seem to match up with what is said about High Rock.

But some fans think the game could take place in Hammerfell, which is on the southern edge of High Rock. Even though people can make guesses, we won’t know for sure where The Elder Scrolls VI takes place until Bethesda tells us more.
At the time of writing, Bethesda had not said anything about which races will be in The Elder Scrolls VI and which you can play as. In Skyrim, there were ten races, and all of them had been in other games. There’s a good chance that some of these races, if not all of them, will also be in The Elder Scrolls VI. But we won’t know for sure until we hear more from Bethesda.
Todd Howard’s Comments about The Elder Scroll 6’s Development
Todd Howard, the director and executive producer of Bethesda Games, told people at E3 2018 about The Elder Scrolls 6. Since then, he has been keeping people up to date on how it is going. At E3 2019 the next year, he told IGN, “I think everyone should have a lot of patience.”
Bruh. The Elder Scrolls 6 was announced 3 YEARS AGO and is still in the design phase? I knew they announced it early but not this early 🤦🏿♂️ https://t.co/3L6ZNqk7XM

Pete Hines, who is the senior vice president of global marketing and communications at Bethesda, had some things to say about TES6 the following year. “If you’re asking me for details now instead of in a few years, I’m not setting your expectations right,” he said.
Todd Howard gave the good news at E3 2021 that the action RPG that is coming out soon has reached the early development stage. The comments from the company’s top people show that not much about the upcoming title has been decided yet. It’s still in the beginning stages, and it will take at least two more years to finish.
The Elder Scrolls Season 6: Gameplay Video and Trailer
The Elder Scrolls VI only has one trailer, which Bethesda showed off when the game was officially announced in 2018. The 30 seconds of video don’t show much about the upcoming RPG, other than a beautiful view of Tamriel. The camera is shown floating above a mysterious region, and then the title appears.
Conclusion: The Elder Scrolls VI is Still Years Away
The Elder Scrolls VI is official, but it won’t be on the market for a few more years. The game is still in its early stages of development, and it will be a long time before we hear more confirmed news about it. Until then, you can keep reading fan theories and trying to figure out puzzles and hints that Bethesda employees have given out.
The buzz about it is crazy. Let’s hope that soon we’ll hear something about it from the right people. At the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, which will take place from June 12 to 14, 2022, we hope to hear some good news. Keep watching.
