Chapelwaite Season 2
Chapelwaite Season 2

Epix will produce a second season of Chapelwaite. The miniseries is based on Stephen King’s short tale “Jerusalem’s Lot,” which takes place in the same village as King’s novel “Salem’s Lot,” which was adapted into the 1979 miniseries by Tobe Hooper. Following the loss of his wife, Charles Boone goes to Chapelwaite, his ancestral home, with his three children to pay his respects. There were mainly excellent reviews for the series, which made Epix’s late-2021 lineup stand out.

According to Variety, Chapelwaite’s second season has been confirmed by the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour in 2022. “The next season will reveal that the Boone family’s curse didn’t die with Jakub (Christopher Heyerdahl) and that De Vermis Mysteriis is as powerful as ever,” according to preliminary plot materials. Jakub, the season 1 villain, is the focus of this summary. Charles (Emily Hampshire), his partner Rebecca Morgan (Emily Hampshire), and a tiny army murder Jakub before Charles flee with De Vermis Mysteriis, a Lovecraftian book and the catalyst for the Boone curse.

The second season of Chapelwaite is believed to focus on Charles, the immortal guardian of De Vermis Mysteriis, who sacrificed himself in order to do so. As a method of protecting his children and future generations of Boones from the undead, he has decided to end his human life… A new locale could be in store for season 2, which would be a departure from King’s short narrative since Charles has already left Chapelwaite and the adjacent towns of Preacher’s Corners and Jerusalem’s Lot with De Vermis Mysteriis.

EPIX’s “Chapelwaite” may or may not return for a second season. “Jerusalem’s Lot,” Stephen King’s prequel narrative published in 1978 and based on the fictional village he introduced in Salem’s Lot, is being developed for a second season by the network, which we learned about this week!

This week at the Television Critics Association’s winter press conference, EPIX announced their upcoming development schedule, including Season 2 of “Chapelwaite,” as reported by Variety.

That curse didn’t die with Jakub (Christopher Heyerdahl) and that De Vermis Mysteriis remains as powerful as ever will be revealed in the upcoming season.
