When Did Carl Kearney Get Arrested?
On Saturday, February 17, 2024, in Prince George’s County, Maryland, Carl Kearney, Jr., who is the head coach of the Spalding High senior football team, was arrested.
Kearney went to the Division V Clinton police station around 9:20 a.m. and admitted to killing his fiancée after a fight in the 800 block of St. James Court, according to the police. It was found that Patrina Best of Accokeek, Maryland, was not answering when police checked on her.
At the scene, they said she was dead. Kearney was accused of both first- and second-degree murder. The Homicide Unit of the Prince George’s County Police Department says he is being held in Maryland jail. There has been no new information released about the probe.
