On Valentine’s Day, NASCAR driver Chris Hacker was involved in a very severe car accident. Weekend trips to Daytona International Speedway were being made by the driver of the Truck and Xfinity Series at the time of the incident.
The much-awaited Daytona 500 and the first weekend of NASCAR’s 2024 season are only a few days away. It was Hacker’s first season-long absence from racing at Daytona. However, he was headed to Daytona to serve as a technician for the Xfinity team Joey Gase Motorsports.
His X (formerly Twitter) account posted an update that said, “Chris was in a serious car accident yesterday afternoon on his way to Daytona. A semi-truck crossed the center line and hit Chris’s Mustang head-on.”
“Chris was transported to Prisma Health Medical Center in Columbia, South Carolina where he underwent emergency surgery. Although a CT scan showed numerous injuries, he’s now in stable condition and is expected to have a full recovery.”

Hacker also told his well-wishers and friends in the message that his family had flown to South Carolina to be at his side. It also said in the message that he was in good spirits. Chris Hacker took part in four Xfinity Series races in the previous season. In addition, he participated in five Truck Series races as a driver.
NASCAR Recently Reinstated Chris Hacker Following His Two-Month Suspension
24-year-old stock driver Chris Hacker was suspended by NASCAR following his DWI incident last year. He was placed under arrest by the Huntersville police on August 15, 2023.
Chris had to finish NASCAR’s Road to Recovery program before he could be reinstated. Hacker sent a sincere message on social media expressing his appreciation to his fans and supporters.
He wrote, “6 months sober, 6 months healthy. I can’t thank everyone who’s supported me along the way enough.”

Chris Hacker participated in the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship in Phoenix on the last day of the 2023 season. He regrettably was unable to finish the race and hasn’t taken part in any competitive races since. Furthermore, Hacker has not revealed any further plans for racing in the 2024 campaign.
