After premiering on Hulu in the US, the new drama series Candy is now available to stream in its entirety in the UK on Disney Plus. Elisabeth Moss, who was in The Handmaid’s Tale, was supposed to be the main star of the show.

However, she had to drop out because of scheduling problems, and The Sinner star Jessica Biel took her place. The drama tells the shocking story of a housewife in the 1980s who did everything by the book until one day when everything changed.

But is the Disney Plus show Candy based on a real story? Read on for all the information you need.

In the end, they gave in to their demands, but not before instituting certain guidelines. In an interview with the Dallas Morning News, Candy, a housewife, claimed that she and Allan planned to conduct a one-night-a-week sex session in a local motel.

In the event that Candy and her lover developed romantic feelings for one another, they agreed to cease their affair immediately and divide the costs of lunch, dinner, and lodging evenly.

After Candy revealed in February that she had fallen for Allan, he promptly broke the last restriction and began meeting her again, according to sources cited by Texas Monthly.

So they continued having sex until the guilt overwhelmed him in late 1979, a few months after Betty gave birth to their second daughter, Bethany, in July. Candy was sad to see their regular biweekly date go, but she agreed.
