Vox Machina Season 2 Release Date: Renewed or Cancelled?

Soon after Amazon purchased the first season of The Legend of Vox Machina, a second season was officially confirmed. After the first season was sponsored through a Kickstarter effort, Amazon purchased fourteen more episodes.

This meant that the first season will have 12 episodes instead of 10. The second season will adhere to the same timetable as the first.

Head of Amazon Studios Jennifer Salke remarked, “Critical Role blazed a trail for original digital programming with unique perspectives and humor that won passionate admirers around the globe, as seen by their massively successful Kickstarter campaign” (via Variation).

We can’t wait to work with the rest of the crew to bring the new Critical Role series to Prime Video subscribers.

“We were completely floored by the passionate response to our Kickstarter campaign,” stated Critical Role’s Travis Willingham and Sam Riegel in a joint statement.

Vox Machina Season 2 Release Date

Season two of an animated series is in the works, and with Vox Machina’s wildly successful Kickstarter campaign concluding in 2019, the cast has had plenty of time to get to work.

Consider the difficulties that postponed the release of the first season (the pandemic moved the debut of the show from late 2020 to early 2022), and we think additional episodes will be coming sooner than you might expect.

The second season might arrive by the end of the year, putting it back on track with the original schedule if we’re lucky. If not, then we can probably expect January of 2023.

Season 2 of The Legend of Vox Machina: Synopsis

Season one concluded on a truly magnificent cliffhanger that set up Season two impeccably, especially if you appreciate mythological serpents, and the series is a metamorphosis of Critical Role’s first Dungeons and Dragons crusade.

It came as a shock to Vox Machina when they were brought before King Uriel Tal’Dorei, leader of the Tal’Dorei Empire, only to learn that Uriel was resigning the high position to surrender rule of the Empire to the Tal’Dorei Council, with the Tal’Dorei Council guaranteeing that Vox Machina’s collaboration motivated his decision.

But as Vex’ahlia’s ringing ears transformed the posse into an oncoming mythological snake, Keyleth and King Uriel observed four-winged serpents rapidly approaching. We end the season with a glimpse of four terrifying mythical animals gathering to destroy Emon.

It’s likely that Season 2 will pick up right after the shocking cliffhanger, dealing with the fallout from the series’ brutal premiere.

Vox Machina Season 2 Cast

Vox Machina Season 2 Release Date

We should probably introduce the main players to the audience first. Who, then, will return for Season 2? Since the show is ending soon, we get to hang out with the principal actors. The return of the entire original cast has been confirmed.

Laura Bailey, Taliesin Jaffe, Liam O’Brien, Ashley Johnson, Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, Sam Riegel, and Travis Willingham are also a part of the cast. Along with this, the show could include brand-new characters.

If there is going to be a new season, it could include some of the new people who are in the show. There have been no recent developments on this front, but we will be sure to keep you updated now that we know about it.
