Story of Shazam 2
All of the main characters from the first film will return to Shazam 2 for a new journey to save the planet. In the sequel, Billy will begin to doubt his own superpowers and whether or not he is ready for the task of protecting the world.
In addition to doing some soul-searching, Billy has to keep an eye on his superhero-level siblings and get ready to fend off the Atlas sisters who are on their way to get him.
The sisters want Billy and the Shazam family’s powers and are willing to do everything to get them back.
The wizard who bestowed his abilities upon Billy had already told him that the sisters would one day come for him, and Billy had already broken the Wizard’s power transfer in the first installment.
To steal the powers from the Shazam family, the Atlas sisters rebuild the same in the second part, and the Shazams must stop them at any cost.
Shazam 2 Release Date
Due to a number of scheduling shifts, Shazam! Fury of the Gods will finally hit theatres on December 21, 2022.
The original release date for the sequel was April 1, 2022, but after some scheduling changes at Warner Bros., it was pushed back to November 4, 2022, and then again to June 2, 2023.
As a result of the postponement of the release of the other DC Extended Universe sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the release date for this film was moved up to December 2022.
Despite the delay in the film’s release, Sandberg assured fans that the film’s production schedule would remain unchanged.
