From One Of Us Is Lying Season 2, What Can We Expect?

The conclusion of Season One showed that Jake was the one who killed Simon. Simon and ex-friend Jake were playing a sick prank on each other when Jake decided to remove the epi pen from the nurse’s office and frame Addy for murder. Although Jake was killed in the subsequent commotion and Cooper, Janae and Addy disposed of Jake’s body, everyone else thought he was on the run.

As for the second season, the truth surrounding Jake’s death can be unearthed at any time.

Season two will begin immediately following the events of the season one finale, according to Deadline. Unlike McManus’ follow-up novel, One of Us Is Next, which takes place one year after the events of One Of Us Is Lying, this storey takes place in the present day.

According to Lisa Katz, president of scripted content at NBC, when asked about the next series, “To say that One Of Us Is Lying’s first season was a hit with our YA demographic would be an understatement. The show’s fan base is tremendously enthusiastic, and we can’t wait to provide viewers even more surprises and suspense.”

Adding to the excitement, Beatrice Springborn, president of Universal Content Productions, said, “Returning to shoot in New Zealand with showrunner Erica [Saleh] for season two is an exciting next chapter in the wild and wonderful storey of the Bayview Four.”

Producer Erica Saleh teased even more mystery by saying, “Season one was a huge success, and we’re overjoyed to be able to continue our tale in a second season. Bayview High’s hallways will soon be filled with even more enigma!”
