That’s right, Cortney Hendrix is expecting again!
The 34-year-old star of Married at First Sight and her 31-year-old husband Sherm exclusively confirms to PEOPLE that they are expecting their second child together. The new baby will join the couple’s 16-month-old son, Dale.
Hendrix tells PEOPLE, “This pregnancy has been the polar reverse of my first.”
“It was shocking and unexpected from the start,” the ex-reality star says. While I was exclusively breastfeeding my 10-and-a-half-month infant, I had the strongest sense of being “back to me” since being pregnant with Dale.
While the birth of their second son was unexpected, Hendrix says she “always knew I wanted to be a mother.”

“Just my luck, I guess. Having Dale as my son is a blessing. It’s a blessing that I can carry another child. Truthfully, I had other plans than being pregnant 10 and a half months after giving birth, therefore I count myself blessed that God’s plan is greater than mine.”

Even though Sherm is humbled by his experience as a parent thus far, he shares his wife’s enthusiasm.
“Having a baby is a life-altering experience in ways that no one can prepare you for. With the addition of a new human being to our lives, our priorities have shifted, and there never seems to be enough time in the day, as Sherm explains.”
The soon-to-be father of two children added, “Watching Dale develop his unique character through play and exploration has been a joy. God has truly blessed me with these children, and I pray that he will continue to guide us as we face each new challenge.”
“I’m looking forward to spending time with the family and watching these boys grow together,” he says.
Hendrix is relying on her family’s shared faith as she makes arrangements for the next change in her life.
“Even if I am capable of doing it, I worry that I will not be enough. God has other ideas, but I’m trusting in His even though my own plans were different. This child will be the perfect addition to our family, and I know that God has blessed us greatly “She’s generous with her possessions. “We can’t wait for Dale to meet his new best friend; they’re only 19 months apart in age!
