Jo Koy from the six comedy specials Comedy Central and Netflix put out. He was among the numerous comedians who, after the streamer produced multiple stand-up specials in 2017, rebuilt their careers and attracted new audiences.

He earned the Stand-Up Comedian of the Year Award at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal in 2018, and his comedy CD Live From Seattle went on to become a chart-topping hit in 2019. Additionally, did you know that Jo Koy regularly participated in panels on Chelsea Lately, a late-night program on E!?

If you didn’t, you do now, and since you presumably googled him right away after, or perhaps even during, the Golden Globes, you most likely know everything there is to know about him and everything he has done. In any case, you should be aware that he’s the newest focus of speculative plastic surgery talk. Alright, let’s discuss that!

Jo Koy Plastic Surgery

Don’t ask why Jo Koy’s (@jokoy) plastic surgery is trending on the internet—you already know why. It’s most definitely not because he looks like he just had surgery. Most likely, he has never even had Botox. Right now, Jo Koy is the man to watch.

He ruined his chance to host such a significant award ceremony; his jokes were so awful and unfunny that they fell flat, and everyone was talking about how bad he was as a host of the Golden Globe Awards. Right now, he’s everywhere on the internet and in everyone’s thoughts.

He is, as I mentioned, the man of the moment, and that has repercussions. The numerous theories about plastic surgery are one of the effects. If you’re wondering something like, “What’s up with all the rumors about Jo Koy’s cosmetic procedures? How did we get there? We had just been discussing how his offensive jokes from the crash had destroyed the mood at the Golden Globes.

“What does his appearance have to do with it?” so please stop being so hard on him (it took him less than two weeks to create all the jokes) and realize that the rumors about his plastic surgery have nothing to do with his appearance. People of the moment go through a rite of passage when they engage in such ideas.

Does Jo Koy Have Plastic Surgery?

Remarkably, nothing about the comedian’s appearance suggests that he has ever had cosmetic surgery, so it’s strange that all of the online conjecture about him that you see on social media has nothing to do with his physical appearance. He appears to be just another well-groomed, average dude.

His appearance isn’t overly romantic. He doesn’t look like a wax figure, nor is he so stunningly good-looking that it makes you blind. Jo Koy doesn’t appear to have undergone plastic surgery for either of those reasons. Likely, he is not even a Botox patient, which is common in Hollywood.

He most definitely hasn’t received an anti-wrinkle injection based on the way his face moves and the creases and crow’s feet he has. Given how clear it is that he hasn’t undergone any cosmetic surgery, the rumors regarding his history are unfounded.

Why do people with plastic surgery not see what we see?

Plastic surgery may be rife in Hollywood, but since he is a comedian and his work is unrelated to his appearance, he is somewhat immune to it. Furthermore, it appears that he is more of a mocker of those who choose to complete their work.

Jo Koy Plastic Surgery

Jo Koy has not yet responded to the rumors of plastic surgery since he finds nothing offensive about them. Perhaps at some point in the future, he will decide to laugh at this particular moment.

Jo Koy Career

Koy started performing stand-up in a Las Vegas comedy club in 1994. He soon made the transition from open mic night to a regular place on the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino’s Catch a Rising Star program. He rented the Huntridge Theater and went door to door selling tickets for his comedy gigs after doing a concert at the MGM Grand Las Vegas.

After an LA talent coordinator discovered Koy, he was cast for his first TV show, ComicView, on BET. He made appearances in Comic View for two seasons. Other TV stand-up specials that Koy has starred in include Jamie Foxx Presents: Laffapalooza!.

For this series, he was given Canada’s prestigious Gemini Award. Additionally, Koy frequently attended Chelsea Handler’s roundtable discussions on Chelsea Lately on E!. He has also performed stand-up comedy on Carlos Mencia’s Punisher Tour. He appeared on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show in 2005.

Many spectators and critics criticized Koy’s monologue as host of the 81st Golden Globe Awards, calling his quips “painful,” “unfunny,” and “cringeworthy.” Bazaar’s Chelsey Sanchez called his monologue “distasteful” and “awkward”. “Almost every joke failed to land, mostly because the punchlines were dated or obvious,” The Atlantic’s Shirley Li observed.
