A happy couple of Margaret and Ali Iyad Yakub. Having served in the Marines, Ali is now an attorney. In 1998, Ali and Margaret crossed paths for the first time at the University of Virginia. But in 2013, after being friends for so long, they finally started dating. They tied the knot in 2015 and now they’re parents to Eamon.

The news anchor had previously elaborated on how her son’s name reflected their shared values by highlighting the origins of his middle name.
