Jason Oppenheim and Chrishell Stause, sadly, are no longer together. The Selling Sunset couple called it quits in December 2021 after 5 months of dating. On the other hand, the two co-stars appear to be on good terms and continue to work together at the Oppenheim Group.
On December 21, Jason said on Instagram, “While Chrishell and I are no longer together, we are still wonderful friends and will always love and support one another.”
Following Chrishell’s separation with Dancing with the Stars pro Keo Motsepe in February 2021, the two began romantically linked in early 2021.
Jason, 44, and Chrishell, 40, dated for two months behind their co-stars’ backs, keeping their romance a secret. The problem is only known to a few people. They declared it ‘Instagram official’ on July 28, 2021. Chrishell shared photos of the two kissing and appearing to be in love in a sequence of shots taken during a group holiday to Capri, Italy.

“We told a few close friends, but if you want to keep anything secret, don’t tell too many people.” “It’s difficult to keep a secret among so many people,” Jason told US Weekly. “Everyone was extremely accommodating. They’re just what we expected.”
They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Los Angeles premiere of Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in mid-August. She walked out again on September 22 for the Hollywood Reporter’s Power Broker Awards.
Chrishell’s Instagram was full of lovey-dovey photographs of them when they were dating. “I prefer my munchies with a little salt and pepper on them,” one post read beside a throwback photo from their vacation to Italy.
What caused Jason and Chrishell to break up?
A difference of opinion on children appears to be the reason Jason and Chrishell stopped their relationship. “We have different goals about a family,”
Jason wrote on Instagram, while Chrishell told Women’s Health that she wanted children but Jason did not.
“My previous relationship was such a great relationship in every aspect,” she told the publication, “except for the fact that we simply desire different things.” The narrator states, “There’s still a lot of affection there.”
“I used to assume that if you didn’t ride off into the sunset, the relationship was a failure,” Chrishell stated, adding that her time with Jason caused her to reconsider her views on relationships. And as a result of my connection with Jason, my thinking has changed.”
What have Jason and Chrishell’s co-stars said about their split?
Jason and Chrishell’s Selling Sunset cast members have come out about their breakup. According to close friend Mary Fitzgerald, it was “sad for both of them.” She and her husband, Romain, told The Mirror that they have been aiding the two in their post-divorce transition.
“We talk to them both; neither of them did anything wrong; they’re just on different paths,” Mary explained. “We’re there for them both, and we love them both, and all we want is for them to be happy, and whatever that means, we’ll be there 100 percent.”
Mary also stated that the two had never had a history of animosity. And that they are still friendly despite the post-split cooling off period.
“Fortunately, they’re both fairly mature, and they both understand that, as good friends, none of us will ever betray their trust,” she added.
“I mean, it wasn’t fun having to say, ‘OK, are we going to have this group or this group’ in the outset when they first broke up, but they needed space for that little period of time.” But they’re adults now, and they figured it out, and everything worked out in the end.
