Sarah Grace McLaughlin was born Bishop Briggs on July 18, 1992, in London, England. She is a singer-songwriter who is both British and American. At the tender age of four, she and her family relocated to Tokyo, Japan, where she was exposed to a diverse array of musical styles, including Motown, The Beatles, and Japanese pop. She got her start in the music industry at a young age, penning songs and performing them at karaoke joints.
To further her music career, Briggs relocated to Los Angeles in 2012. She dropped her first extended play (EP) in 2015 with Bishop Briggs and her second in 2016 with Church of Scars. Her 2018 first album, also called Church of Scars, contained the popular songs “River” and “Wild Horses.” In 2019, her second studio album, Champion, came out.
