Baking Impossible Season 2

Unlike other popular baking competition shows like “Cupcake Wars,” “Cake Wars,” and “The Great British Baking Show,” “Baking Impossible” has established itself as a unique show. Andrew Smyth, Joanne Chang, and Hakeem Oluseyi serve as the judges on “Baking Impossible,” which premiered in October of this year and pits teams of a baker against an engineer.

The primary goal of each team is to create a baked good that not only tastes good but also passes the judges’ “stress tests.” Many of the “stress tests” that go along with them are downright bizarre, and they’re incorporated into the food itself.

When it comes to the show’s debut episode, dubbed “Whatever Floats Your Boat,” the teams are tasked with designing baked goodies that can withstand the weight of a boat and even test their buoyancy in the water. Other episodes feature edible robots and edible mini-golf courses that are completely edible.

“Baking Impossible” has gotten rave reviews from critics and audiences alike, with a Rotten Tomatoes audience approval rating of 80% and a 100% fresh critic approval rating.

Reviewers agreed that seeing heretofore unknown pairs with vastly diverse backgrounds and abilities work together to achieve an absurd objective was “both fascinating and heartwarming” (TIME magazine).

Baking Impossible Season 2 could be on the way with such high reviews. Here’s what we’ve learned so far.

Baking Impossible Season 2 Release Date

Baking Impossible Season 2 has not yet been formally confirmed by Netflix.

Netflix, on the other hand, is unlikely to have made any announcements just yet due to how quickly it has been since the eighth and final episode of Season 1.

On October 13th, the episode titled “Bridge to Victory” aired. Netflix has a history of renewing series after a two-month delay, so it’s possible that we’ll have to wait another month or two to find out if the show will be renewed. After the holidays, it’s very probable that we’ll hear something official.

Fans of “Baking Impossible” needn’t be concerned that it won’t be renewed based on the show’s positive reception.

Due to the time, it takes to produce reality shows, the second season is expected to be released in the summer or fall of 2022.

Baking Impossible Season 2 Cast Announced!

If “Baking Impossible” is renewed for a second season, no cast members have been named. As in Season 1, fresh bakers and engineers will likely form teams with no prior knowledge of each other.

In the instance of Andrew Smyth, Joanne Chang, and Hakeem Oluseyi, the Season 1 judges, reality programs sometimes substitute or sub in other judges for the sake of variety or because of the judges’ schedules as professionals in their own fields.

NBC’s “The Voice” proves this even on the biggest stages, but it’s unknown if this will be the case with “Baking Impossible” or if Smyth, Chang, and Olyseyi are returning.

According to reports, Justin Willman, an American magician who also presents “Magic for Humans,” is likely to return for Season 2 if negotiations and the show’s popularity are favorable. “Cupcake Wars” and “Halloween Wars” are not Willman’s first appearances on a baking competition show (via IMDb).

Baking Impossible Season 2 will feature a number of new challenges.

“Baking Impossible” Season 2’s challenges are likely to be even crazier and tougher than the previous season’s if the show is renewed. It’s hard to think how they’ll improve on Season 1’s bridges, robots, mini golf courses, Rube Goldberg contraptions, and even edible automobiles.

Aircraft, bags, or even mattresses might be made out of food in Season 2. Taking the most unappetizing items and making them functional and delicious is a frequent topic.

For the time being, we’ll simply have to wait it out until the holidays, rewatching Season 1 to get our creative juices flowing in anticipation of a potential third season. This page will be updated as soon as any new information becomes available. Netflix subscribers may presently watch all eight seasons of “Baking Impossible” for free.
