Why did Yeonmi Park and Ezekiel Split Up?
The American activist has been mum on the subject of her relationship with Ezekiel so far. Nonetheless, on January 30, 2021, during one of her YouTube broadcasts, the Korean activist confirmed the split. Yeonmi uploaded a live video to her YouTube channel with the caption “Let’s Talk about the Lies—North Korean Defector.” In response to a video question regarding her marital status, she stated that she was divorced.

The American activist and her ex-husband, Ezekiel, have a son named James. She made the happy announcement on October 8, 2018, that she had a baby boy. Though she later removed the message from her official X(Twitter) page, she posted it there nonetheless. On March 18, 2018, she supposedly gave birth to a son named James. Based on this, he will be five years old in 2023.

Park asserts that her parents served jail terms in North Korea for alleged crimes, but her memory differs from her mother’s. Park revealed in an interview that North Korean records showed her father’s sentence as eleven years, although she had first thought it was seventeen to eighteen. The length of his sentence was increased from one year to ten, according to Park’s mother.
Park revealed in an interview that her mother spent six months behind bars following her father’s sentencing. While Park’s mom did not say she was detained, she did say that she was interrogated occasionally over a year. While her parents were in prison, Park and her sister were left to fend for themselves in the mountains, where they supposedly subsisted on grass, according to her interviews.
