The news sent shockwaves through social media. The terrible news, which Merritt Walker shared on February 12 in an emotional Instagram post, showed the unimaginable pain and sadness that was going through her life after what she called a “tragic accident.”

Callahan, Laura Merritt Walker’s 3-year-old son, died in a terrible accident. Walker is a lifestyle blogger. Merritt Walker and her sister Cristie Merritt Taylor run the blog Merritt & Style together. A post on Instagram on February 12 said that Merritt Walker’s smallest child had died.
The post said, “We are completely broken-hearted to share that we lost our precious Callahan in a tragic accident last week. He was such a blessing and brought so much joy to our whole family. Cal-Bear was absolutely adored by his big brothers and loved them beyond measure. As parents, we are completely shattered at the loss of our baby boy.”

There was a cute picture of Laura, David, and Callahan as a child smiling together on the post. In the next black-and-white shot, Callahan was being held by his parents, and his hand was holding what looked like an IV. A video of the little boy talking while reading picture books in his Shamrock pajamas was also shared.
Callahan’s cause of death is unknown, but a sergeant from the Frisco Police Department in Texas told People that they had reacted to a report of a minor drowning the week before.
