The Japanese voice actors and animators from animation company Seven Arcs will return for Tonikawa: Over The Moon For You Season 2.

An announcement for a second season of Tonikaku Kawaii was made by Spytrue the day before the first season’s last episode aired. The news leak was verified, it simply took a lot longer than planned.

Nasa Yuzaki and Tsukasa Tsukuyomi’s tale will continue in the second season. However, when can we expect the release of TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You Season 2?

On November 6, 2021, a new TONIKAWA Season 2 trailer was unveiled.

Another OVA episode of TONIKAWA: Over the Moon for You has been announced for release in 2021. The OVA, dubbed Tonikaku Kawaii SNS, will be previewed during the Virtual Crunchyroll Expo 2021 event.

An animation company renowned for fantasy anime series including Dog Days, Trinity Seven, and Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha created the first season of the anime. After the Arte anime, which depicts the life of female painter Artemisia Gentileschi, was released earlier this year.

TONIKAWA Season 2 (Tonikaku Kawaii Season 2/TONIWA: Over the Moon for You Season 2/Fly Me to the Moon Season 2) and other relevant news are covered in this page. Thus, this page will be constantly updated with fresh information, including rumours and speculation.

In the meanwhile, let’s take a closer look at the facts.

Tonikaku Kawaii Season 2 Revealed By Crunchyroll

In addition to episodes like In/Spectre, Noblesse, Tower of God, and The God of High School, 2020 Crunchyroll Originals feature TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You. As a result, Crunchyroll was the only place to watch the first season throughout the upcoming autumn 2020 anime season.

Only English subtitles were available at first on Crunchyroll. The English dub release date for TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You was set for November 20, 2020.

Zach Aguilar plays Nasa Yuzaki, and Lauren Landa plays Tsukasa Tsukuyomi in the TONIKAWA English dub.

Tonikaku Kawaii Season 2 Storyline

TONIKAWA Season 2 release date has not been officially announced by Studio Seven Arcs, Crunchyroll, or any other organisation involved in the production of the anime. However, in November 2021, the production of a second season of Fly Me To The Moon was announced.

This page will be updated with any fresh information as soon as it is made public.

While we wait for further information, fans may guess on when TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You Season 2 will air.

The fact that no 2020 Crunchyroll original series has completed its first season and announced a second has been an albatross in the room. A “read the Webtoon/manga” conclusion has been used in place of a cliffhanger in each finale.

The TONIKAWA anime, on the other hand, announced an OVA episode right away. Anime news leakers started spreading rumours about a second season of Tonikaku Kawaii early on, which was a promising indication.

Additional concerns include whether or not enough information is available. Fortunately, there isn’t any issue in that aspect (see the manga comparison section below for more details).

Only 390 Blu-Ray/DVD copies of TONIKAWA sold in Japan during its first week of release, which is a disappointing result. However, based on the positive reviews and the show’s popularity on Crunchyroll, it seems like TONIKAWA has been renewed for a second season.

It’s probable that TONIKAWA Season 2 will be released by the end of 2022, given that early development rumours began in 2020. Production might begin as early as 2019, although a release date of 2023 is most realistic.

A new anime series called TONIKAWA is scheduled for premiere in the summer of 2021

An OVA episode of TONIKAWA was revealed with a trailer towards the end of the first season. The release date of the TONIKAWA OVA is set for August 18, 2021.

On that day, Crunchyroll will make the new episode available to viewers all around the world. The film will also be available on Blu-Ray in Japan.

Tonikawa: Over the Moon for You – SNS is the name of the latest OVA episode. On March 24, 2021, a second trailer was published.

On Crunchyroll’s free 2021 Virtual Crunchyroll Event, they showcased the opening 15 minutes of Tonikawa’s newest anime film, TONIKAWA.

a comparison of the manga and anime series TONIWA

Tonikaku Kawaii, a manga series by Kenjiro Hata, is the inspiration for the anime. As of August 18, 2021, the weekly manga, which first appeared in February of this year, has amassed far over 100 chapters and has been gathered into 17 volumes.

For a rom-com series, the cover art for TONIKAWA Volume 16 was extremely divisive. This link will take you to the cover image, which includes huge spoilers.

Weekly Shonen Sunday Issue 17, 2021, published in March 2021, revealed that TONIKAWA Part 2 will begin airing in the issue following. Tsukasa’s history is the subject of this 1,400-year-old tale.

Uncovering the identity of Tsukasa Yuzaki is finally made possible thanks to a special promo for the next manga series.

No, the manga’s primary plot hasn’t ended. A new chapter in the tale will begin in Issue 22 with Tonikaku Kawaii Chapter 148.

The TONIKAWA manga, also known as the Fly Me To The Moon manga in North America, is being published in its official English translation by Viz Media. Volume 8 of the English translation of Fly Me To The Moon was released on November 9, 2021.

In 2022, Viz Media’s publishing schedule will allow the English edition to keep up with the Japanese one. On January 11th, 2022, TONIKAWA Volume 9 will be released, followed by Volumes 10 and 11, which will be released on March 8th, May 10th, and July 12th, 2022. Volume 13 will arrive in September 2022, Volume 14 in November 2022, Volume 15 in January 2023, and so on. That’s based on the timeline.

There are many romantic comedies out there, but this one stands out because the couples are married, yet feel like strangers to one other. The result is that there will be less forced drama and anime fans won’t have to wait for many seasons to see whether the main characters ever confess their love for one other.

Rather, there is a bigger mystery surrounding the identity of Tsukasa Tsukuyomi, the bamboo cutter in The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter, and his connection to Princess Kaguya. Without giving anything away, the first episode or chapter gives the impression that something is wrong.

There are later episodes that depict Tsukasa as “just 16” saving the young Chitose… Tsukasa’s marriage was recorded while she was only 16 years old?

In spite of her lack of interest in visiting historical sites, Tsukasa has astounding knowledge of historical facts and is proficient with a katana. She talks and refers to herself as if she were an elderly person on a daily basis.

In Nara, she even says, “Despite a thousand years passing, the form of the mountains never changes, astonishing…” when they go to see Nasa’s parents.

Even Tsukasa’s last name Tsukuyomi, which literally translates to “Japanese deity of the moon,” is part of the mystery. Tsukasa travels to faraway places in several of the manga chapters’ beginning panels… locales that appear to be situated in the distant past!

But that primary riddle is unlikely to be addressed in a short period of time. It’s unlikely that even if the show is renewed for numerous seasons, we’ll get a definitive explanation even in Season 3.

Since the long-running manga series Hayate the Combat Butler was created by Hata, this shouldn’t be unexpected. It included both supernatural and extraterrestrial elements. Specifically, a crucial revelation about the protagonist was kept back for more than 500 pages.

The anime adaptation of TONIKAWA manga has been widely praised by fans, who have found it loyal to the original material. A panel-by-panel adaptation of much of the first season is the norm, with just a few modifications here and there (sometimes the anime enhanced the jokes with visual gags).

Some events have been changed in the most recent episodes, and some information has been skipped, however these are mainly minor sequences. A good illustration of this is in Episode 5, when the character Nasa, while working at his job, realises he just began the job to locate his wife. Nevertheless, when he inquires about quitting, his employer screams, “No!” Without you, I’d be out of a job!”

Tonikaku Kawaii Season 2 Spoilers

Nasa and Tsukasa were last seen together at a festival. In order for the future to make sense, the second season will need to back up the storyline with more chapters.

After their Tokyo flat was damaged by a freak lightning strike, they were forced to live in the bathhouse. In Episode 11, Chitose is surprised to see construction in the place where her flat was supposed to be.

Chitose seemed to assume that Tsukasa would escape the fire, while Nasa will perish. Since both were in Nara at the time of the fire, Chitose feels relieved.

Tonikaku Kawaii Season 2 Storyline

Tsukasa happened to be passing by on an errand at the time. She was forced to reveal her whereabouts by the gullible Chitose who demanded to know, but she was able to get away with it for the time being… or so she thought.

Aya Arisugawa and Kaname are waiting for Chitose at Tsukasa’s house, where she is greeted by Kaname.

For the first time, Kaname tells Nasa that he should have taken Tsuki on an actual date sooner rather than later. There is no need for Nasa to take his wife out since they like spending time together. He also sees them as potential red signs of a disastrous romantic relationship.

Dates are used by married couples to understand more about each other, Kaname convinces Nasa. When Nasa isn’t in the mood to be honest, he takes his wife out to purchase a phone. He suggests that they stop at an aquarium on the way.

Tsukasa is quick to figure out that Nasa isn’t playing nice, and that’s why he’s able to catch on so fast. Regardless, she’s content, but she wants Nasa to be the driving force behind the date the next time around.

Now that the big day is over, Nasa can give Tsukasa her first smartphone. Line and Siri keep her occupied, but she’s also concerned about the Zoltaxian invaders…

Tsukasa has known for some time that her spouse is a genius. The fact that he can solve complex arithmetic problems while simultaneously working on a computer puzzles her. Tsukasa wears Charlotte’s maid dress so that the girls may distract Nasa with seduction while he is being pummelling.

Yanagi Naoko, his former middle school homeroom teacher, chances to run into Nasa. There is a lesson in this for the instructor as she worries about the future of her ex-student, Nasa.

After an argument in the bathhouse, Chitose and Aya end up playing video games together and becoming friends.

Final Lines

A Yakuza criminal who may be planning to attack her spouse, Onimaru Ginga-kun, is wrongly identified as such by the bathhouse’s owner Tsukasa as Nasa’s cousin. In fact, it turns out that the cousin was only in need of assistance with an abandoned cat, whom they end up calling Toast.

Nasa can’t handle the combination of his wife’s sweetness and an adorable kitten. As if that wasn’t bad enough, they also become cat owners.

Cats help Nasa understand how much his wife appreciates being pampered. Because to Ginga’s generosity, they will be able to enjoy a day at a nearby amusement park.

And, as luck would have it, they come upon Sensei. Taniguchi, a male instructor, asked her to a dinner, but Sensei claims it’s not a date since he doesn’t want a “boring lady like me” there.

In order to avoid falling victim to a manga stereotype and spoiling the teacher’s moment, Tsukasa rapidly eludes by tugging Nasa away from the teacher’s desk with her. So the “magic” starts to unfold.
