The likelihood of a ParaNorman 2 sequel is slim, so fans shouldn’t get their hopes up.
Similar to Coraline, ParaNorman has become a huge success due of its dark horror plot, which is also wonderful at the same time.
A little boy called Norman has the ability to see and communicate with ghosts in the film ParaNorman. As a result, he is marginalised and labelled a weirdo. But he also rescues the town’s residents by communicating with a witch who has cursed it and escaping the zombies with the use of his special talent.
Recap of ParaNorman
But what is the plot of ParaNorman? Norman Babcock, a youngster in the town of Blithe Hollow, is able to see and interact with ghosts.
Everyone thinks he’s a freak, and no one wants to be friends with him because of it. However, there is one child, Neil, who believes in Norman’s potential.
She once asked Norman to pass along her dad’s instructions to turn on the warmth while they were watching a movie. Everyone is stunned when Norman tells her father that her grandma has died.
Until one day, when Norman’s uncle mentioned a yearly ritual to guard his hometown from a curse cast by a witch, and asked Norman to participate in the ceremony. Unfortunately, Norman accidentally awakens seven zombies, who thereafter pursue him around the village.
It turns out that the seven zombies are descendants of those who attempted to have a little girl convicted of witchcraft executed many years ago. The young girl became enraged and cursed the village, turning the seven inhabitants into zombies.
Short version: Norman attempts to communicate with the witch in order to break the curse and not bear her grudges. The curses have been lifted once he performed the deed. As a result, the village is no longer cursed and the zombies are free to roam.
Even though the storey has come to a joyful conclusion, fans are eagerly anticipating the sequel, ParaNorman 2.
Paranorman 2 Is Coming?
Is there a sequel in the works? Until recently, there has been no indication that the sequel or even a spinoff narrative would be developed.
According to Kodi Smit-McPhee, a cast member of Norman, Laika is most likely going to go on with fresh original storylines rather than reliving the past films.
A sequel to ParaNorman, according to him, is unlikely. Instead, he predicts that Laika will go on to make other visually stunning films.

ParaNorman 2 Storyline : What About The Movie Is?
Norman Babcock, an 11-year-old kid in the fictitious hamlet of Blithe Hollow, Massachusetts, can communicate with the dead, including his deceased grandmother and other ghosts in the area.
Aside from being ridiculed by his classmates and the rest of the school, he has no one to lean on except his own family. When Alvin bullies his closest buddy Neil Downe, who is also overweight, Norman sees him as a fellow victim.
Following practise for a school play commemorating the death of a witch three centuries ago, Norman’s estranged and presumably demented uncle, Mr. Prenderghast, informs his nephew that he must soon begin his regular ritual in order to safeguard the town from evil spirits. Mr. Prenderghast dies of a heart attack soon after this interaction.
On stage, Norman has a nightmare vision of the town’s history in which he is followed through the woods by villagers on a witch hunt, exposing himself and resulting to a passionate dispute with his estranged and paranoid father Perry, who later grounds him.
In the words of Sandra, his mother, his father’s strict demeanour is due to his fear for him. Before dusk on that day, a ghost of Prenderghast appears to Norman and instructs him to execute a rite using a specific book then the spirit is released and crosses over.
His grandma tells Norman it’s okay to be terrified as long as he doesn’t allow his fears affect who he is, and this convinces Norman to go, although he’s hesitant at first. Having to grab the book from Prenderghast’s body to get it, Norman sets out for Prenderghast’s residence.
A judge escorts Norman’s family to the cemetery in a woodland, where he is buried. To keep Norman apart from the others, Aggie uses her magical talents. Aggie’s spiteful soul appears to Norman in the grave, and he intends to put an end to the years-long tantrum she’s been throwing.
Norman tells her that he knows how she feels as an outsider and that her revenge has only made her resemble the people who hurt her, allowing her to recall better times. Aggie is ultimately able to find some relief and pass on to the other side after meeting someone who knows her situation and remembers her loving mother (having the opportunity to be reunited with her mother).
She, the undead, and even the Judge fade away as the storm fades. Norman is hailed as a hero by the residents of the town.
Finally, Norman watches a horror movie with his family and the spirit of his grandmother, who have come to accept Norman for who he is.
