Onihei Season 2 is one of the finest historical anime shows, enjoyed by viewers of all ages (from children to adults), and a petition for a second season was started by their devoted fan base.

Onihei Season 2 Release Date
On January 10th, 2017, Studio M2 began airing the anime series, which ran till April 4th, 2017. To far, the OVA prequel has had a total of 13 episodes, which debuted on television networks in Japan and the United States, including TV Tokyo, TVA, TVH, TVQ Kyushu, TSC, TVO, and jiduigeki.
On April 15, 2021, Tubi launched an English dub of this fantastic Anime series. People had hoped for an announcement about the second season’s release in mid-2019, but that hasn’t happened yet.
Because of the long history of ambiguity surrounding the release of new seasons of anime, it’s tough to predict when they’ll be available.
Please, please, please provide us another season as soon as possible, better than any of us could have ever imagined.
Onihei Season 2 Storyline
Hasegawa taizo (Hasegawa dobutamine), the protagonist of the novel, is a superintendent general of an investigative agency specialising in theft, armed robbery, and arson investigation.
A licenced libertine by profession, his father succeeded him as heir and he was appointed head of the special police in Edo that dealt with arson thefts. A couple, the Hasegawa family, who had no children of their own, adopted him when he was seventeen.
His stepmother’s remark that he was the son of a concubine made him feel humiliated. As a result of his revolt against her and subsequent exile, he rose to the position of head of “The handlooms” and had a fast-paced existence.
“Tetsusaburo” was the name he was given as a youngster, and his street name was “Honjo no Tetsu.”
A criminal gave him the name onihei (Heizo the devil) when he acquired his father’s estates after his death. A commander of the Samurai Police, he was responsible for keeping rehabilitated criminals on the payroll as sources of information to help solve more complex crimes.
He was referred to as “Hitsuke tozoku aratamekata” as the narrative progressed ( police force for arson and theft ). For this purpose, he had an office built within his official house. When it came to people who committed crimes out of necessity or were loyal to him in spite of their criminal past, he had an image of an evil monster.
While serving as a yoseba judge, he established and ran the ishikawajima ninsoku Toshiba, a vocational school for convicts.
Onihei Season 2 Characters
Hasegawa, voiced by kaiju Haruhi, is the protagonist of the narrative and heads the Arson Thief Control Office (ATC), where he is responsible for investigating and solving instances of arson around Edo.
He is shrewd, fair, a great swordsman and an exceptional swordsman. Heizo and Hisae Hasegawa have a son named Tatsuzo, who is played by Daisuke Namikawa.
It is Junko Iwao who portrays Hisae, Hasegawa’s better half (wife). Adopted daughter of Heizo and Hisae Hasegawa’s, Ojun (voiced by Sayaka senbongi) is an orphaned girl.
Romi Park plays Omasa, a former robber who joined Heizo’s information network after he saved her from her assailants and trained her in espionage. On duty, Chugo kimura, portrayed by Nobuhiko Okamoto, is also a member of the ATC’s samurai doshins.
Kenji Hamada plays a senior officer in the ATC and samurai who is the commander of the yorikis and often utilises Katama in the line of duty. Karama is also used by one of the ATC’s samurai of the doshins, voiced by Hidenobu Kiuchi as Yasuhiro Koyonagi.
One of Heizo’s old buddies, Haikou (voiced by shozo Iizuka), turns spies and joins his information network. Yoshimasa Hosoya’s Kumehachi is an ex-thief who was arrested by Heizo and eventually became a member of the ATC.

Onihei Season 2 Trailer
The trailer is in the same pre-release position as Onihei Season 2, meaning it has not been made public yet. There are still a lot of people who want to see the show’s second season. We can only hope that Season 2 and its trailer will be available to see in the near future.

Final Lines
The first season of the anime series was co-produced by Studio M2 and TMS Entertainment. The series was later offered to Amazon Prime Video as well. Anime’s first season had a favourable review from critics. It has received positive reviews from both the public and the reviewers.
As a result, the show’s followers assumed it would return. That, however, has not been the case so far. Onihei Season 2 has yet to be renewed or cancelled by the show’s animators and director.
