It’s possible that Nichijou season 2 may be one of the most eagerly anticipated anime series in history. In addition to being amusing, it’s also relevant enough to bring a grin to the face of everybody who sees it.
No matter how many times you see the show, you’re sure to laugh out loud at least once throughout each episode. However, despite the fact that Nichijou’s last episode aired more than a year ago, some fans still haven’t had enough of the show.
Is a second season of Nichijou possible?
Just a Recap of Nichijou
The story of Tokisadame’s residents, as told by Nichijou, is a simple one. Three high school classmates, Yuuko Aoi, Mio Naganohara, and the quiet, deadpan Mai Minakami, all of whom are friends with one another.
Besides the narrative of our three friends and the adventures of Sakamoto, the talking cat, there are many more characters whose lives are intertwined with that of our three heroes.
Nichijou Season 2
It aired from April 3, 2011 through September 25, 2011 for a total of 26 episodes. There are four companies involved: Lantis, Kadokawa (Re:Zero -Starting Life in Another World-), Rakuonsha (Naruto Shippuden,& Seraph of the End), and Kyoto Animations (Bungou Stray Dogs).
There are two companies who licence it: Bandai Entertainment and Funimation Entertainment (Attack on Titan,& Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood).
In December 2006, Keiichi Arawi started publication of a comic manga series that would provide the inspiration for the anime. Kadokawa Shoten’s manga magazine “Shonen Ace” published it initially, and it was serialised in Comptiq magazine as well.
One hundred and twenty-four pages of a companion book were included with the release of the manga’s tenth volume, which was released on December 10, 2015. Arawi later revealed on October 20, 2021, that Nichijou’s serialisation would continue in Monthly Shonen Ace magazine.
Nichijou season 2 has yet to be announced by the studios or producers, despite the show being serialised again. Fans still discuss about and praise Nichijou as a lighthearted, comic anime series, despite the fact that the show concluded in 2011.
The potential of a second season of Nichijou is still in its infancy, but fans may still hold out hope.

Final Lines
Fans have been clamouring for a second season for over 10 years now. Kyoto Animation, on the other hand, has kept a low profile ever since. Well, the anime’s source material is one of the primary causes of the delay. Is it possible that it will return?
What we know thus far may be found here. Season one was published a decade ago, making it difficult for the authors to connect with the public after such a long period of time away from the show.
The reintroduction of anime adaptations was challenging before the development of foreign streaming services. Anime sequels have been prevalent for a few years now. Recent years have seen the streaming platforms acquire series that were on the edge of being cancelled.
If a worldwide streamer is interested in bringing back Nichijou season 2, it may happen.
Many petitions have been filed by fans of the anime in order to have a second episode. We can count on a sequel as long as there are still devoted followers. In the event that Netflix or any other production company does not want to develop a sequel, they may easily produce an entirely new film.
Many series have made a reappearance in the shape of reboots in the previous few years. For example, Fruits Basket and Cardcaptor Sakura are two examples. As a result, a relaunch of Nichijou is a possibility if the show’s popularity continues to grow.
No production company has shown interest in a second season of Nichijou. In other words, if and when the anime ever makes a return, it will most likely be in the second half of the decade of the next century.
The anime series takes at least two years to make and no statement was made in 2020.
