Bill Murray becomes part of the Marvel universe, as he says in an interview. He does not reveal which film it is but offers sufficient information.
Hollywood star Bill Murray is one of the most popular actors of his generation. His cult status is even discussed with humour in the action-comedy “Zombieland”. Now the mega-star is daring the leap into the Marvel universe.
To promote his tenth collaboration with director Wes Anderson in “The French Dispatch”, he speaks in an interview about his collaboration with various artists. He slips out that he recently made a Marvel film: “I probably won’t tell you, but it doesn’t matter”.
Murray explains that he has no interest in big superhero films and blockbuster cinema. He is interested in working with “good people”. From the wider context, it is clear that Murray is speaking of director Peyton Reed, who has been responsible for several episodes of “The Mandalorian” and the “Ant-Man” films in recent years.
“I got to know the director, and I liked him. He was funny, humble, everything you want from a director.”
Murray made it clear via an elimination process that his Marvel film is “Ant-Man.” and the Wasp: Quantumania “, but also reveals that he doesn’t necessarily want to appear in a Marvel movie again.
The flick is part of Marvel Phase 4 and becomes the fourth phase of “Avengers: Endgame” with the main villain Kang the Conqueror, who was led in “Loki”. It is unclear what role Murray plays. However, since it comes to the massive collision of the multiverse, Murray could portray a variant of Kang or Hank Pym.
The theatrical release of the now 32nd film in the Marvel series will take place on July 28, 2023, in cinemas. Until then, you can sweeten the waiting time with numerous other Disney+ shows and film highlights such as “Spider-Man: No Way Home”.
