Sweet Tooth Season 2 : Release Date? New Characters? And Filming Updates

Sweet Tooth is a Netflix fantasy series based on the comic book of the same name by Jeff Lemire. The show was released on Netflix on June 4th, 2021, and rose to fame in quite some time. The show revolves around a young boy named Gus, who is half-human and half dear. The show is set in a post-apocalyptic world where most of the world’s population is wiped out by a pandemic. Since the end of its first set of episodes on Netflix, fans have been waiting for its second season.

Sweet Tooth: Has Netflix Renewed The Show?

Sweet Tooth was officially renewed by the streaming giant months after its release. Robert Downey Jr. produced the show, and the filming is set to begin in New Zealand in 2022. 

The show stuck in Netflix’s Top 10 list for a month. At the same time, it remained second worldwide for two weeks after its release. As per the statistics, 60 million households watched Sweeth Tooth by July 2021. 

Sweet Tooth Season 2: When Will It Release?

As of now, it is impossible to say when the show will make its return to the streaming service. This comes because the show is yet to start its production, and as scheduled, the filming will occur in early 2022. 

As of now, all we can say is that we might see the second season of Sweet Tooth on Netflix by late 2022. 

Sweet Tooth Season 2: New Additions To The Characters

The second season of Sweet Tooth will bring some new characters and new faces into the storyline. This majorly includes:

 

  • Finn Fox: A hybrid who is mostly humans with ears similar to a fox. He also has a foxtail. 
  • Wally Walrus: With bug tusks, deep eyes, and little feet. Wally Walrus is the new addition to the hybrid family. 
  • Haley Mockingbird: The one with a beak and skinny legs. She can mimic the voices of one another.
