“A New Chapter Begins: Mickey 17 Welcomes Fans To A World of Endless Possibilities!

Warner Bros. announced on Monday that Mickey 17, directed by Bong Joon Ho, will open in theaters worldwide on March 29, 2024. The date was set in stone for a special film by the company. Sony’s Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse and Universal’s untitled event picture will both premiere that weekend.

In addition to directing, the director is also producing. The Mickey 17, an “expendable” on a human expedition assigned to conquer the ice world Niflheim, is adapted for the big screen from the science fiction novel by Edward Ashton.

After the Oscar-winning Parasite, Bong Joon-ho will direct his next film, Mickey 17. Plan B Entertainment’s Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, Kate Street Pictures’ Dooho Choi, Warner Bros. Peter Dodd, and writer-director Joon-ho are all listed as producers.

In January 2022, it was revealed that Bong Joon-ho will be adapting Edward Ashton’s novel Mickey7 into a film for Warner Bros. Studios. At the time of the announcement, talks were underway with Robert Pattinson to star in the picture.

Is There a Mickey 17 Trailer?

On December 6th, 2022, a 30-second teaser was published. Mickey (Robert Pattinson), presumed to be in a tank with other clones, awakens after the death of his predecessor, but this brief film doesn’t show us anything else. Once new details and hints become available, we’ll add them here.
