After David Crosby‘s death on Thursday at age 81, their friendship is getting a lot of attention.
The musician, who helped start the bands The Byrds and Crosby, Stills, and Nash, talked openly about his struggles with addiction. During an interview on The Howard Stern Show in June 2021, he talked about how, after meeting Barrymore at a treatment center when she was 14, he and his wife, Jan Dance, took her in for two months.
“At the time, we were both in recovery, so we knew her. We went to meetings about three times a week and were completely clean “Crosby told Stern what he meant.
