Come back to Good Burger! After teasing about a second movie for years, Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell said on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on March 17 that “Good Burger 2” will start filming this summer. The movie will be shown first on Paramount+ later this year. Mitchell said, “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Good Burger, home of something like the Good Burger part two!”
Fallon and the crowd all went crazy at once. In fact, the host jumped on the guest couch to show how excited he was that “Good Burger 2” is finally happening. The former “Saturday Night Live” star has been a fan of the movie for a long time, so his reaction makes sense. As he said at the beginning of the interview, he brought the “All That” cast back together in 2015 for a “Good Burger” sketch.
“We’ll film it this summer, and it will come out soon,” Thompson said. Because once asked what it will happen in “Good Burger 2,” the “SNL” actor said there will be “hijinks” and that they want “as many cameos as we can get.” Thompson called it a “blessing” to be back, saying that they had both wanted to make a sequel ever since the first movie came out in theaters more than 20 years ago.
Good Burger 2 Release Date
Nickelodeon said that the first episode of Good Burger 2 will air later in 2023 on Paramount+. The exact date of the release has not been given out yet. The first movie came out in movie theatres on July 25, 1997, which is more than 26 years ago.
The first Good Burger movie went to theaters and made $23.7 million USD, even though it only cost $9 million to make. Good Burger 2 made a pretty good amount of money at the box office, but this time it will be mostly shown on Paramount+.
Good Burger 2 Plot
After Dex and Ed saved this same Good Burger from closing down at the end of the first Good Burger, they were called heroes. “Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger,” Ed says in the last line of the movie. Do you want to place an order?”
We now know that the second movie takes place in the present, which is 26 years after the first movie. After The Good Burger 2 was said to be getting a sequel, Nickelodeon shared the official high-waisted skirt for the movie.
It says, “Dexter Reed is feeling down because another of his inventions has failed. Ed greets Dex with open arms when he comes back to Good Burger and gives him his old job back. With a new group of people working at Good Burger, Dex comes up with a plan to get back on his feet, but it puts Good Burger in danger again.”
In his interview with HL, Kel gave fans a taste of what to expect from the sequel. “Ed is in charge of Good Burger, so that will be great. “You could guess what would happen if he was in charge,” Kel said. “Kenan’s character is going to cause a little trouble for Good Burger. I have nothing else to say.”
Good Burger 2 Cast & Crew
So far, only Kel Mitchell and Thompson are sure to be in the cast. Kenan Thompson hinted that the two want to have as many celebrities show up as possible. One of them could be Fallon, who said he would like to be in the movie during an interview with its stars. Kel also gave hints that Shar Jackson, Linda Cardellini, Shaq, Sinbad, and most of the other original cast members will also be back.
“Oh yeah. “It’s written down,” Kel said. “I can’t tell you who will make a cameo, but there will be a lot of surprises in the first one, and there will be more after that. Then we told everyone about it last night. If you want to be in it, get in touch with us. The phone keeps going off.”
Brian Robbins was in charge of Good Burger, but Phil Traill will be in charge of the follow-up. Kevin Kopelow and Heath Seifert, who wrote the first movie together, are writing and producing the second one. The movie is being made by Nickelodeon Studios.
Is There a Trailer for Good Burger 2?
Since Good Burger 2 had just been made the announcement at the time this article was written, filming probably won’t start till later this year. So it will be a while before we can see the Good Burger staff in action again after 25 years. See Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell if you want more information straight from the source.
