The Seattle Seahawks’ safety Earl Thomas was carted off the field with his lower left leg in an air cast during the fourth quarter of their 20-17 victory over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.
Following the game, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll delivered the unsettling news to the media. Thomas was taken straight to the X-ray room.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network Insider reports that Thomas broke his lower leg cleanly, without any ligament damage or dislocation. Rapoport continued, stating that Thomas ought to be cleared for free agency in March and completely recovered by the Super Bowl in February.
In the meanwhile, it couldn’t have ended any worse for Thomas if this was his last game wearing a Seahawks uniform. Throughout his incredible career, he was selected to six Pro Bowls and was named to the first team three times. Earl Thomas’s House Came Under Fire
Following a fire at his Texas house on Thursday, Earl Thomas dodged a serious scare. Thomas seemed to be there, but he wasn’t hurt. It is believed that lightning ignited the fire.
Reports state that although there were no injuries, extinguishing the fire was challenging due to the surrounding trees and vegetation. The fire destroyed the house, and it is believed to be a total loss. It is believed that his mother and an additional family member were present when the incident occurred.

Earl Thomas has not formally retired from the NFL, but he is no longer a member of any team. The 33-year-old was selected to five All-Pro teams and six Pro Bowls during his nine seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. Along with the Seattle Seahawks, he helped them overcome the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII. Thomas was released by the Baltimore Ravens after his final game in 2019.
After being cut by the Ravens in 2020, Thomas went to see the Houston Texans. It was thought that the former Pro Bowl safety would join the team, but that did not happen.
