It was hailed by both fans and reviewers, and in 2020, an anime series based on the first 12 episodes of the manga was released. Here’s all we know about a second season of Dorohedoro, if it ever happens.

Officially, Dorohedoro has not been given a second season. The manga is finished, and the first season only adapted a third of its entire amount of chapters. We believe that Dorohedoro is a potential contender for renewal, but we don’t have any accurate information about it at this time.

The remainder of this post will provide you with all the facts you’ve been waiting for on the possibility of Dorohedoro getting a second season. In this article, you’ll learn when the anime could be released, if a trailer will be released, and much more about this exciting new series.

Dorohedoro Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on September 15, 2017.

Between January 12 and March 29 of 2020, the first season of Dorohedoro aired, with a total of 12 episodes and another six OVA episodes, which essentially translated the first third of the manga.

In order to avoid having to wait for fresh episodes to be written, Dorohedoro’s first season premiered after the manga had already been finished.

Almost universally, Dorohedoro’s first season was hailed as “addictive” by its audience. Fans will like the tale and the animation, and it was a great time for everyone.

Since just around 40 chapters of the manga were translated for the first season, there are still over 100 chapters to be adapted, indicating that there is enough material for many future seasons. As a result, what can we expect from the programme moving forward?

However, no word has been made regarding a Dorohedoro 2nd season, or any other type of sequel, until January 2022. While Dorohedoro is still a strong contender for a renewal, we don’t have any official word on the matter, so we can’t really say much more than that the programme remains a strong contender for renewal in the near future.

Even if everything is taken into consideration, we don’t expect the second season of Dorohedoro to debut until at least a year from now.

The Season 2 Trailer for Dorohedoro

You’ve undoubtedly figured out by now that there is no trailer for the second season of Dorohedoro and the reason for that is simple. The reason for this is because the season has yet to be declared, and without an announcement, there can be no production, and without production, there can be no trailer.

While Dorohedoro is a strong candidate for a second season given the popularity of the now-finished manga series and how only a third of the manga’s available chapters were adapted for the first season, we won’t know when a trailer will be released until we receive confirmation that a second season is in the works and that production has begun.

We’ll probably have to wait until the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023 to learn more about the next season’s trailer, given the current backlog.

The Story of Dorohedoro Season 2

That being said, it’s impossible to predict what will happen with Dorohedoro Season 2 since we don’t know how many chapters will be adapted for the second season (and maybe third and fourth seasons).

Since the number of chapters is unknown, we can’t anticipate what the book will include.

As a result of this, we have no idea how many episodes would be included in the second season if it were to air. Because of this, we are unable to speculate on any specific narrative points.

In a post-apocalyptic world where wizard magic has polluted the air and water, the series takes place in three distinct worlds: Hole, a sprawling human-inhabited favela-like city, Wizard World, a vibrant land of magic users controlled by the wizard boss En, and Hell, a torturous underworld inhabited by all deceased wizards and ruled by the head demon Chidaruma.

Even though they seem to be similar, humans and wizards are two distinct species. A primordial fiend known as Chidaruma gave rise to the former, while the latter was created by natural selection. Their unique magical abilities are derived from a particular circulatory system that enables them to emit “smoke.”

While some wizards can do amazing things like raising the dead or bending the hands of time, these abilities are very uncommon and eagerly sought after by other magicians. The potency of a wizard’s spells is directly proportional to the quantity of smoke he can produce.

Smoke output for wizards is sometimes honed by surgical operations or, less often, the illicit usage of black powder, an unlawful smoke-enhancing substance. Similar to pawning magic, smoke may be purchased and sold and the effects of the sold magic are the same as those of the cast magic.

Lawlessness abounds in the magical world as well as the Hole. Violence-tortured and slaughtered accused wizards and their families formerly controlled Hole.

Although these vigilantes dissolved, Hole’s residents are now essentially unable to stop wizards from experimenting on and murdering them, to the point that specialist hospitals are required to treat human victims of magical assaults.

As a result, the magical world was ruled by people traffickers who would harvest magic from wizards for resale and then dispose of their bodies. Only En was able to survive these plots and finally tore down the realm to become the magical world’s reigning mob leader.

There is a caste system in place, with demons at the top, revered by wizards, and subordinate to Chidaruma’s orders, among wizards, powerful magic users live in luxury by selling their skills, while those with less desirable magic can live in abject poverty, and at the bottom are the people compelled to live in the squalor of the wizards’ world.

The Cross-Eyes is a gang of weak wizards and humans who band together in reaction to the abuse they receive. Tattoos with a red cross on their eyelids identify their members, who provide lesser races with illicit black powder and oppose En’s family.

To find his actual identity, Caiman, a man transformed into a reptile head by an evil wizard, goes on a journey to discover who he really is.

Nikaido joins him in a violent assault on wizards in order to snatch their heads out of their hands and shove them into his mouth, where a weird face emerges and assesses whether or not the wizard he bit was responsible for his metamorphosis. Caiman, despite his height and proficiency with blades, seems impervious to magic. As a result, he poses a significant threat to wizards.

He sends Shin and Noi to assassinate Caiman, a strong wizard and leader of a syndicate known as “The En Family,” after hearing about the lizard-headed wizard killer. The Cross-Eyes, a band of low-level wizards led by En, are presently hunting him down because he was almost killed by their famous master years ago.

Fujita, a low-level sorcerer who seeks vengeance for Caiman’s death, and Ebisu, who lost her memory after having her face accidently ripped off, are frequent clients of Shin and Noi.

It’s not long until the mystery surrounding Caiman’s identity starts to unravel, rekindling ancient resentments and threatening to alter the hole and the wizarding world as we know it forever.

Dorohedoro Season 2 Characters

We can assume that the main characters of Dorohedoro will be in the manga for at least one more season, and the show’s cast isn’t likely to change much given that the manga’s narrative doesn’t include many deaths or big character transitions.

There’s no guarantee that there will be a second season of the programme, but it’s likely that the actors from the first season will return (because they returned for the movie).

Role Japanese voice (Seiyū)
Kaiman Wataru Takagi
Nikaidō Reina Kondo
Fujita Kengo Takanashi

How Many Episodes Will Dorohedoro Season 2 Feature in the Second Season?

Twelve episodes and six OVAs made up the first season of Dorohedoro’s first season. Since it is unusual for modern-day anime to feature more than 12 episodes each season, a prospective second season would likewise, most likely, consist of about 12 episodes.

Tokyo MX, BS11, and MBS were the original networks for the first season of Dorohedoro. It ran for a total of two months on television. Netflix then licenced the programme and made it available worldwide. In the future, we expect to hear about fresh seasons of shows initially airing in Japan before being licenced by Netflix for streaming in the United States.

Final Lines

Attack on Titan’s Annie Leonhart is one of the most interesting characters because of how significant her arc is, despite the fact that she was mostly absent for much of the tale. This page is dedicated to Annie Leonhart, a character whose actions and words had a significant influence on the storey.

The reason Annie Leonhart sought to abduct and capture Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan will be explained here.

With Reiner Braun, Bertolt Hoover, and Marcel Galliard as her fellow Marleyan Warriors, Annie Leonhart set out to reclaim the Founding Titan from Eldian hands. Although they were dubious if Eren was indeed a Titan, he was their primary target since he was formerly thought to be the heir to the Founding Titan’s abilities.

We’ll learn more about Annie Leonhart’s mission, the Founding Titan’s part in it, and why Eren was chosen as the Warrior Unit’s main target later on in this piece. There will be spoilers in this article for people who haven’t read the manga or seen all of the episodes that have already broadcast, so proceed with caution.
