National Geographic’s new historical thriller, A Small Light, will be available on Disney+ at the beginning of May. It’s about a young woman named Miep Gies who lived in Amsterdam in the 1930s and helped the Frank family hide from the Nazis for two years. When Otto Frank asked Miep Gies to help hide his family from the Nazis during World War II.
Miep agreed without any doubt. Over the next two years, she and her brave and loyal husband, Jan, along with a few other everyday heroes, kept an eye on the Frank, van Pels, and Pfeffer families as they hid in the secret annex. Miep Gies is also known for hiding Anne Frank’s book so she could give it back to her after the war.
Miep gave Otto Anne’s diary when she found out that Anne had died in a death camp. Otto then made sure that the diary was published. When Will a Small Light Come Out?
On May 1, 2023, at 9 p.m. ET, Lifetime, Nat Geo WILD, and National Geographic will air the first two parts of A Small Light. It will come out on Disney+ and Hulu on May 2. The rest of the shows will come out on Lifetime, Nat Geo WILD, and National Geographic every Monday.
Just Like the first ones did. They will come out on Disney+ and Hulu every Tuesday. Also, the first episode of A Small Light will air on Freeform on May 6 at 8 p.m. ET. Also, you can watch all of the shows on the Nat Geo TV and ABC apps.

A Small Light Plot
In A Small Light, Miep Gies, a Dutch secretary in her 20s, tells her story. During World War II, Anne’s father, Otto, asks her to hide him and his family from the Nazis. Miep is always willing to help, and she and other staff take care of the Frank, van Pels, and Pfeffer families. These families were hidden for two years in Amsterdam in the secret rooms above Otto’s shop.
She also found Anne’s diary and kept it safe for her until she heard that Anne had died in the Holocaust. Otto, who had just been freed from Auschwitz, got the book from Miep after the camp was closed. He let everyone read the book. When Anne’s diary was released years later, people began to call her a hero.
But Miep didn’t want to be called one. She said, “I don’t like being called a hero because no one should ever think you have to be special to help other people. Even an ordinary secretary, mother, or teenager can turn on a small light in a dark room.” Miep was able to turn on that small light and help so many people in need.

Is There a Trailer for A Small Light?
The original trailer for A Small Light was shown for the first time on April 5 by National Geographic. The teaser starts with Miep Gies at a stop in Amsterdam as the Nazis begin to round up Jews. Otto Frank, who was her boss and a friend, asked her to help protect his family.
Miep is quick to help the Frank family, even though her husband isn’t sure at first. So, this is where Miep Gies’s journey starts. She has to go through a lot of trouble to keep her promise and save the Frank family.
