When you decided to make Wanda Maximoff a full-fledged villain in this film, what was your rationale behind it, especially given it’s a departure from WandaVision?
So, for starters, it’s accurate to the character’s appearance and actions as depicted in the original comic book art.
Even when I acquired the movie, I knew exactly where Wanda was going in the MCU. The question now is, when will it happen? As far as I know, there was an earlier version of this film in which she was part of the cast and ended up turning bad and being an adversary in a subsequent film.
In that situation, I don’t think you’d have had a good Wanda story because it’s still Dr. Strange’s movie. She would neither be the protagonist nor the antagonist. A separate antagonist would be necessary for the majority of the film.
You have to admit, she’s been up to some pretty nasty stuff in WandaVision. As it turns out, she does make the heroic decision to let go of everyone else. However, she learns that the family she’s created is a sham
