It’s not every day that the Devil comes from the tomb. Eight years ago, anime production firm White Fox launched a 13-episode series under the name of “Devil Is a Part-Timer!” Based on a series of light novels written by Satoshi Wagahara and drawn by 029 (Oniku), the anime depicts an interdimensional demon ruler called Satan Jacob after he is brought to modern-day Tokyo and reduced to a human shape. He soon assumes the name Sadao and starts working at a local fast food business, thus the moniker “Devil Is a Part-Timer!”
According to The Cinemaholic, the first season only adapted the first two volumes of the original light novel. The second season will adapt the remaining volumes. Over the course of this period, Sadao meets and develops connections with various creatures from his homeworld of Ente Isla, including his former adversary Emilia Justina, whom he had previously fought.
In contrast to this, the scarcity of adaptations beyond the first few volumes has left fans clamoring for more. It is a relief that they are finally receiving what they want. “The Devil Is a Part-Timer!” says the narrator. Season 2 is about to begin.
Release Date Of The Devil Is A Part Timer Season 2
A teaser for Season 2 of “The Devil Is a Part-Timer!” was released on YouTube the same day it was revealed at the Kadokawa Corporation’s Light Novel Expo, although there is still no official release date for the show’s second season.
Season 2 of The Walking Dead is expected to premiere in early 2023, according to Cinemaholic; however, this is just a prediction. Having said that, it is not a completely unjust decision. Single seasons of anime are often produced over a period of many years.
However, without official confirmation from White Fox or the show’s publishers, it is impossible to say anything substantial. During the first season’s initial broadcast, Funimation was in charge of distributing the episodes online.
It is unknown if this will continue to be the case, but considering that the business has also announced Season 2 on the official Funimation site, it is plausible. Likewise, they provide no information on when Season 2 of “The Devil Is a Part-Timer!” will be released.
Cast Of The Devil Is A Part Timer Season 2
We do know one definite truth regarding “The Devil Is a Part-Timer!” and that is that he is a part-timer. The cast for Season 2 has been announced. At the very least, we now know who will be in the Japanese dub’s cast. Fans of this version will be pleased to know that all of the main voice actors from Season 1 will be returning for Season 2 of the show. Whether or if this will be the case with dubs in other languages, on the other hand, is yet uncertain.
Unfortunately, this is a disappointment for those who appreciate dubbing, since they cannot expect their favourite characters to have the same voice actor anymore. However, some English voice performers for the program have shown an interest in returning and a readiness to do so on social media platforms (via Twitter).
While this is by no means a definitive confirmation of their comeback, it does serve as a strong hint that the English dub of Season 2 will get the same treatment as the Japanese counterpart.

Plot Of The Devil Is A Part Timer Season 2
‘The Devil Is a Part-Timer!’ ended with the aftermath of a struggle between Sadao and the angel Sariel, which brought the season to a close. Sadao shares his joy with Shirou and seems to have developed a solid, pleasant friendship with Emi (Emilia’s contemporary name), despite the fact that they were formerly adversaries. Finally, she appears in the last episode, rushing to Sadao’s aid when he becomes trapped in the rain.
However, there are many more volumes of the original light novel to adapt before the series is completed. Providing White Fox stays true to the tale of its source material, we may expect to see Emi and Sadao continue to grow in their love as additional supernatural entities join the battle.
The third volume, in particular, gets things started when the gang finds a golden apple that gives birth to a young girl who claims to be the daughter of Sadao and Emi. As the couple and their friends struggle with motherhood and other issues, there is a lot of laughter and suspense.
End Lines
Eight years have passed since the first season of The Devil is a Part-Timer came to a close. Earlier this month, it was reported that the series has been renewed for a second season, eight years after the first season came to an end. The Devil is a Part-Timer Season 2 is now officially in the works.
