The animation for the film was handled, as it had been for the previous seasons, by Toei Animation and Production I.G. When the film was first announced, however, many were worried that they wouldn’t be able to see all of the unadapted storylines from the source material. That’s because there are too many events from Season 4 to condense into two films, and the manga now has 100 chapters scattered across five arcs.
