Unfortunately, one of our favorite adult animated programs is not included in Netflix’s list of new additions for the month of July. Unfortunately, season 6 of Big Mouth will not be arriving on Netflix in July.
Since Netflix usually uploads new seasons of original series in the fall, we aren’t too surprised that Big Mouth won’t be getting a new season in July.
Big Mouth has only ever premiered so early in the year once, and even then it wasn’t for a complete season. In 2019, Netflix opted to broadcast Valentine’s Day-themed episodes ahead of the remainder of the third season’s debut later that year.
When a Netflix show sets a schedule for when new episodes will be available, they usually keep to that schedule unless there are unexpected delays in production. There is a high degree of confidence that post-production on Big Mouth Season 6 is complete and the show is just waiting for a premiere date to debut.
The sixth season was expected to premiere in the fall after the show was renewed for a seventh season in April. While “later in the year” doesn’t specify a month, it typically means something will be released towards the conclusion of the year. Season 6 of Big Mouth is likely going to premiere in the fall.

Speculation about the premiere date for Season 6 is as unfounded as it is about the cast at this stage. The release schedule for the past five seasons has averaged around once every 11 months. Following this logic, we may project that the premiere of season six will occur in October 2022.
Since there were no significant cliffhangers at the end of Season 5, viewers shouldn’t be too impatient for the next installment. Fans of popular shows like Stranger Things often have to wait for new seasons to arrive on Netflix.
However, it doesn’t look like Big Mouth fans will have to wait quite as long for the next season, and we can only hope that this trend continues for future installments. To now, production has not hit any snags or delays, so fans may anticipate the show’s comeback in the near future.
After the success of the third season, Netflix renewed the show through a sixth season to satisfy viewer demand. While most shows wait at least a year between seasons, Big Mouth has never stopped making viewers laugh.
